September saw over 380 guests attend the inaugural September Ball, in Aid of Focus Ireland raising over €60,000. The sold-out event kindly sponsored by ParkPNP and Provincial Securities took place under the spectacular domed roof of the Round Room in the Mansion House.

Hosted by Virgin Media’s Anna Daly and Simon Delaney, the grandeur of the timeless 19th-century setting combined with the recent restoration and ‘Enchanted Woodland’ theme of this year’s September Ball guaranteed a lasting impression on everyone who walked through the doors. Stunning Wisteria hung from the centre of the room, with Irish woodland greens and eucalyptus adorning the stunning table arrangements.

As luck would have it, or not for Kerry fans, the ball coincided with the replay of the All-Ireland Football Final replay. Guests were able to watch the match in the unique venue, enjoying a Beefeater Gin & tonic Reception courtesy of Irish Distillers, before sitting down to a four-course meal and a charity auction with guest auctioneer Alan Shortt who brought a touch of humour to a brilliant auction, raising vital funds. Throughout the evening and into the early hours The Bentley Boys Band and DJ entertained the guests, finishing out the night in style.

Mark Dunleavy, Managing Director, MD Property Management and September Ball Committee Member;

‘The support we have received for the first-ever Ball in aid of Focus Ireland has been amazing. From the ball being completely sold out to the extremely generous and thoughtful auction items, we couldn’t have asked for more and reached our target of over €60,000. It has been a humbling experience, and really sets us up for many more September Ball’s for years to come.’

The much-needed funds raised on the night will allow Focus to continue its innovative work with some of the most vulnerable people in Ireland’s communities. With this support, for every €1,000 raised FOCUS Ireland, it can provide one family who is homeless with the advice and support to live independently and facilitate a smooth transition to their new home.
